We’ve all been on a highway going 70 mph just to be passed by some crazy drivers hitting speeds over 100 mph. Speeding or racing on the highway posed a most precarious situation, however, street car racing can be even more disastrous.
Associated Press reported early Thursday morning that there was a fatal accident that occurred Wednesday night on Colorado Blvd in the Eagle Rock neighborhood. Authorities have reported that three people were killed. One of the victims was a pregnant woman and the other a 12-year-old girl. There were two others that were critically injured.
April Harding, police spokeswoman, said the accident happened around 11 pm Wednesday night. They had to close about three blocks where the accident occurred for seven hours.
Police reported that three men were thrown from their black Nissan Maxima car. One of the men was killed and the other two are in critical condition. Investigators think that the accident was caused by three cars that were street racing. Police added that they found bodies and severed body parts in the street when they arrived at the scene.
Authorities have not released the names of any of the victims or the men that were injured.
