Work Injury

There is a reason why so many cars come with switches that allows a person to open the trunk from the inside. You never know when you may be the victim to some kind of car jacking incident.

Without any unpleasant incident Jose Torres Montes, 37, was arrested Thursday morning by Phoenix police in Sueno Park in the western area of Phoenix.

Police had been looking for a suspect since early Wednesday when a cabbie was attacked and then stabbed several times by one of her clients she picked up. The suspect was described as dressed in a mariachi outfit and carrying a guitar. He stabbed the 30-yaer-old cab driver several times and then put her in the taxi cab trunk. The taxi driver managed to free herself from the trunk while the suspect was driving around. She was in the hospital in critical condition. The woman’s Estrella cab was found hours later abandoned in west Phoenix.

Police do not know why the suspect attacked the cab driver and then took off with her taxi cab.
