Local police were called to an intersection of Turner Road and Dunlap Circle in Alabama for a truck accident. When the police arrived, they found Cory Shane, 19, limped over in the driver seat of a Chevy pickup truck. Apparently Shane had been shot once in his body. He had driven his truck into a utility pole. Police are investigating where the gunshot wound came from as they search the area of the accident as well as where Shane was last seen.
The car accident was called into police around 11:45 am on Friday morning. After some preliminary investigation, police believe that Shane may have been hanging out in a local village area. Authorities are canvassing this area hoping to find some clues that will help explain the shot wound.
Shane had to be transported to a local medical center. He has been listed to be in critical condition.
